For Bassetlaw, the twelve months to August 2026 hold 12,060 published records, and a missing results file is unavailable rather than zero. The burglary share is 4.2%, from 3.8% to 4.6% at 95 percent. A missing month is not a month without crime, and no rate per resident is published.

Wilson 95 percent interval on this share: 4.2% from 3.8% to 4.6% on 12,060 records The count beside it is exact. No rate per resident is published, because the population denominator is not accepted.

At least one force month arrived without a results file. Those results are unavailable, not zero. Case results are not compared between forces.

What to do next

The composition of records here sits inside the range seen across comparable areas, and the twelve-month window is complete for this force. These are the records police chose to publish and were able to locate, counted once each. The figures describe recorded and published records, which is not the same as everything that happened.

Open one category in this area, or read how the records are counted.

Limits of these figures

It does not tell you about a street or an address. Published points are moved to a shared location covering at least eight addresses, and this page describes an area.

It does not count everything that happened. These are the records forces recorded and published; for many types of crime, police recorded crime statistics do not provide a reliable measure of levels or trends in crime.

It does not describe Scotland. Only the British Transport Police supply records there, so levels would look far lower than they are, and no Scottish total is published here.

It does not give a figure per resident. Rates stay unpublished until an unrounded population estimate for the exact same area is accepted, so counts and composition are all that appear.

It does not rank forces on results. Published matching of case results ranges from about 19 to 97 percent between forces, which makes a league table of results meaningless.
